Tell us about the space MOSAIC will take place in! The Collector’s Room by Beau Monde.

The Collector’s Room is just outside of Uptown Charlotte and the neat part about it is there are very unique areas within the space. Moms will be downstairs and the Girls will be upstairs which contains an open area for intro work + brunch as well as smaller, more intimate areas for small group work-shopping.

MOSAIC takes place from 9:30AM - 2:00PM. What will we be doing during that time?

Moms and Girls will split out upon arrival. Girls will head upstairs with their Mentors for an intro activity donated by Erin McDermott Jewelry! They’ll move into an active and engaging workshop followed by brunch and additional workshops. The Moms will begin at the same time in parallel activities. They will have topics led by guest speakers alongside workshops and of course brunch complete with Mimosas! Want a great visual of the flow of the day? CLICK HERE

Will girls be split by age during the Summit?

YES! Girls will be in a group with 7-8 other girls of similar age and be partnered with a specific Mentor. Once you register, you will receive a follow-up questionnaire for your Daughter to complete which will allow us to get to know her a little better and match her up with her Mentor!

Lets get a sneak peek into how the Girls will be spending their day!

In one word…transformative. As the girls arrive they will immediately be welcomed in by their designated Mentor and as arrivals take place the girls will take on a creative project alongside their Mentors - pieces that they’ll bring home and pieces that will be donated back to the community. As we officially kick off the day we’ll begin by hearing from our Mentors as we address fears + self-worth. Through workshops and a second creative project during brunch we’ll transition into learning our values and what it means to lean into the strength + power of how we speak. Tenacity, Confidence + Voice - we’ll address all three throughout the day and walk out of MOSAIC owning these pieces of ourselves.

What does the MOSAIC Mentor piece entail?

Our Mentors are incredible young women either currently in college or recently graduated. Definitely make sure to check out each one of them along with their stories HERE! - Each Mentor will be partnered with 8-9 girls of similar age and move through the day with this specific group so while the girls will have a chance to get to know all Mentors they will really engage with a specific one. And it is this specific Mentor that they will then have a chance to connect with once a month for 6 months post-summit. That connection will look a little different each month - there will be Zooms, letters and stories.

Give us a look into MOSAIC for MOMS!

The theme for the Mom’s portion of the Summit is IDENTITY - who we are now that we’ve become Moms and who are we apart from being Moms. This time, dedicated to YOU will assuredly walking out the door with your cup a little more full. Through health and education experts and workshops we will focus on who we are, who we want to be and how we want to show up.

My daughter and I are coming together - will we be together for any portion of the day?

If you and your daughter are coming together (and reminder! its not necessary that you do - Moms and Daughters can attend separately), there will be an added BONUS 30 minutes from 2:00 - 2:30PM. Your daughter will share a little about her day within a facilitated conversation that gives you some solid prompts for the car ride home.
